Vita Machinicalis- Vita means life, Machinicalis means machine.
I took the title for this project from Inagaki Taruho, an author who I have loved and respected since I was in my teens.
Currently in 2018, through technological development, the photographic expression that we encounter everyday is attempting to completely cross the line from reality to virtuality.
As a fiction, in the photographic work of this exhibition, I have taken the subjects as androids.
As we become closer and closer to machines in our daily lives, we have to consider the new emotions that emerge: truth and illusion, humankind and humanoid, gender, generation, existence and machine. I created this work trying to express the beauty of the conditions that we waver between.
