Bombas Gens Centre d’Art presents the first major solo exhibition of the Japanese mathematician and artist Shigeru Ōnishi (Takahashi, 1928-1994) in Europe, curated by Vicente Todolí. The exhibition presents a wide selection of his photographs, including 9 works from the Per Amor a l’Art Collection, as well as a group of more than 30 abstract paintings on display for the first time outside Japan. The exhibition, produced in collaboration with FOAM (Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam, The Netherlands) and MEM Gallery (Multiply Encoded Messages, Japan), is a unique opportunity to confront the work of one of the most singular artists of Japanese photography.
