Tsuchitarashi features a two channel video installation by Noriko Yamaguchi. Both use clay animation. One installation is Tsuchitarashi and the other is Rabbit.
These videos show the transformation of human body into numerous little clay disks. They move around and mold to the shape of Yamaguchi’s body.
These videos are a sort of mythology of the emotional state of the human being, Yamaguchi says, “a woman wanted to make love with the earth in memory of her deceased lover. The ground smelled of death. The muddy water running down her cheek felt like her lover’s saliva. Her arms were severed as mud gushed from the open wound. She experienced great pain and orgasm. Then, she realized everything was just a creation of her brain. Then, all the mud started coming back into her head.”
